The start now success village scholarship is a scholarship created to support Alabama A&M students on their journey to becoming successful in their careers and life journeys upon graduation. Dr. Yvonne Briggs is a native of Huntsville, Alabama, and Alumni of Alabama A&M University. She is a former elementary school teacher, and currently an occupational therapist. With the release of her first book titled, Start Now: The Starter Guide to Becoming Successful at Anything, she is well on her way to motivating people across the world.
Yvonne possesses a unique and effortless ability to encourage, teach, motivate, and inspire others to reach their desired level of happiness and success. In addition to being divinely gifted to uplift others, Yvonne uses her life experiences and the success skills she has acquired to teach others how to accomplish their goals and turn their dreams into tangible realities.
As an Alabama A&M University graduate, Yvonne understands how challenging it can be to afford tuition, books, dormitory accommodations, and other university expenses. Yvonne wanted to make it easier to focus on academics and eliminate the financial stress from our Alabama A&M University students.
In her Nigerian upbringing, Yvonne's parents believed children need the support of their villages to thrive. She is successful today as a result of the support she received from her village. When it comes to raising a child, it takes a village. A child's learning, development, and growth is influenced by more than just their parents. An entire community is involved. We can support our students' success as a community.
The Start Now Success Village Scholarship aims to bring the community together to support our students. Alabama A&M University students demonstrating academic achievement, a strong motivation for success, a need for academic financial assistance, and a desire to make a positive impact on society may be considered for this scholarship.
